2024 National Teacher Institute

Summer Professional Learning Tailored for Math Educators

Registration NOW OPEN!

June 24-28, 2024

Westminster University, Salt Lake City, UT

Taking place on the beautiful campus of Westminster University, CPM’s National Teacher Institute provides a wide range of learning opportunities for teachers new to CPM, teachers with CPM experience, and leaders supporting those teachers in their implementation of CPM. Participants attending this event will have the chance to network and explore content with other educators of the same course, all the while collaborating to improve their pedagogy. Add in Westminster’s Sugar House campus with access to the Rocky Mountains, downtown Salt Lake City, and many of Utah’s natural wonders, and you just may feel like you are on a little getaway instead of at a professional learning event!

Any questions or concerns, please reach out to Sara Thompson, Regional Professional Learning Coordinator.

  • This learning event is for teachers new to implementing CPM’s Core Connections series and occurs prior to the start of the school year. The entire series contains multiple components and is grounded in active experiences delivered over the first year. The experiences in the foundational series will encourage teachers to adjust their instructional practices, expand their content knowledge, and challenge their beliefs about teaching and learning. Through this learning event and additional on-demand work, teachers and leaders will gain first-hand experience with CPM and concentrate on the course content they will be teaching. Over the course of the series, educators will experience mathematics, consider instructional practices, and gain strategies to create the classroom environment necessary for a successful implementation of CPM curriculum resources. This week-long event covers the 3-day summer Foundations for Core Connections agendas and more! Participants will need to complete the fall and spring follow-up events either virtually or in person at a Regional Site to complete the full Foundations for Core Connections series.
