Teachers need support as they transition to a student-centered, problem-based curriculum, and the Professional Learning Progression is designed to offer that support. Our multi-year approach is facilitated by a knowledgeable cadre of experienced CPM teachers.
From live, in-person learning events and coaching to online sessions and remote professional development, we offer a range of support to fit districts’ needs and educators’ busy schedules.

Foundations for Implementation
This professional learning is designed for teachers as they begin their implementation of CPM. This series contains multiple components and is grounded in multiple active experiences delivered over the first year. Learn More.
Building on Instructional Practice Series
This professional learning is designed for schools and teachers with experience teaching with CPM instructional materials. Teachers will develop further understanding of strategies and tools to go deeper. Specific topics addressed include Equity, Assessment and Discourse. Learn more.
Content Sessions
Content Sessions provide an opportunity to collaborate and engage with the mathematical storyline of the course they teach. These live sessions are facilitated by an experienced CPM classroom teacher. Schedule and Registration.
Inspirations & Ideas
This professional learning series is designed for teachers who will be implementing CPM’s Inspirations & Ideas course. Participation in this professional learning is required in order to use the materials with students. Learn More.
On-Demand Learning Modules

eWorkspace
CPM Educational Program is excited to announce a new formative assessment feature in our online curriculum eBooks called eWorkspace. This new feature allows students to submit work electronically and teachers to provide timely, formative feedback to students. Learn more.
Implementation Support Visits
Implementation Support Visits (ISV) are included in year one of implementation. The intent of an ISV is to provide individual support, non-evaluative feedback and an opportunity for teacher reflection as teachers begin to connect the knowledge they have obtained during CPM learning to the realities of the classroom.

This learning is designed for leaders to understand the principles and practices necessary to support a successful Implementation of CPM materials. Learn more.
Building on Foundations for Implementation
This professional learning builds upon the Foundations for Implementation Series by engaging participants with research, tools and resources that support student-centered, problem-based learning. This Professional Learning will be offered virtually ongoing throughout the summer and offered at a few select regional locations. Learn more.

Algebra Tile Session
Algebra tiles are incredible for visualizing mathematical ideas geometrically! CPM is offering two-hour virtual sessions to see how these little tiles can help students solve equations, complete the square, and move from concrete to abstract thinking. Learn more.

Coaching
Research indicates that effective coaching changes practice. CPM’s coaching model includes intentional, ongoing, non-evaluative interaction between a math coach and a teacher, and is designed to be an effective means to support teacher growth and, in turn, increase student learning while using CPM materials.
