As the end of the first term of the 2020-21 school year rapidly
approaches, many teachers are faced with several challenging
decisions regarding summative assessments.
My name is Tatiyana Webb and I teach 8th grade math (Core Connections, Course 3) in Memphis, TN.
Assessing students is an issue that all teachers grapple with, not just CPM teachers.
Declaring New Year’s resolutions is a goal-setting tradition. Teachers are given district goals, campus goals, and individual student goals with plans they are required to follow.
Within the third year of CPM implementation, we took the traditional testing model and flipped it upside down in an effort to create a more student-centric approach to assessment.
