Recently, my friend, who is a preschool teacher, shared a story with me. The mother of one of her students contacted her about a curious question.
Mr. H’s math department has just adopted CPM. He is three weeks into the first term when suddenly his students realize that they are putting much more effort into their math learning then they ever have in their learning career.
Learning and making mistakes are inherently intertwined; you cannot have one without the other.
