“I Left My Cardioid In San Francisco”

(With apologies to Douglas Cross)

Mark Cote’, Project Manager

The loveliness of hyperbolas seem somehow far away

The glory of the circle is of another day

I’ve seen ellipsoids in LA and logarithmic spirals in Manhattan

I’m going home to my cusped graph by the Bay

I left my cardioid in San Francisco

High on an axis, it calls to me

To be where little limaçons are so effortlessly drawn

The morning fog may chill the air, I don’t care

My Cardioid waits there in San Francisco

Above the blue and windy sea

So won’t you join us in San Francisco

A wonderful math place to be
