Professional Learning Specialist
Mentor teachers as they implement CPM, facilitate professional learning that grows with them, and represent CPM in classrooms and at conferences. A fully remote role, open to California residents.

Your role at a glance
The Professional Learning Specialist serves as a mentor for teachers implementing the CPM curriculum and reports to the Customer Success Manager in the Professional Learning department. The position is 100% remote with required travel to events: in-person professional learning and school visits may occur away from the home office up to 75% of the annualized work weeks, with the remaining time from a home office.
Your contributions
Facilitate Professional Learning
- Conduct effective CPM workshops using the agendas
- Maintain accurate attendance records
- Complete and submit reports after each workshop day
- Communicate with participants before and after a workshop
- Conduct Implementation Support Visits
- Serve as the Implementation Partner for sites when assigned
- Facilitate online professional learning opportunities
Create Professional Learning Content
- Develop content for asynchronous and synchronous learning modules and corresponding agendas
- Create site support resources
- Create content for additional projects as assigned
Represent CPM
- Represent CPM at local and regional conferences as assigned
- Conduct CPM program overview presentations for schools and districts
- Present sessions or staff the booth at conferences as assigned
- Attend internal professional learning sessions offered by CPM
- Regional Support Specialist and CPM Instructional Coach duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Key Competencies
High level of integrity, industriousness, and passion for transforming education. Exceptional time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.
Mathematical and Reasoning Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematics for the courses supported in workshops and classrooms, and to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of Google Workspace, basic office equipment, and a willingness to learn new software.
Licenses
A current driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required if driving for work.
Remote Environment
Work in a quiet environment, both collaboratively and independently, across various time zones. Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to collaborate effectively without direct supervision.
Travel Expectations
Full-time and 100% remote with required travel to events. In-person professional learning and school visits may occur away from the home office up to 75% of the annualized work weeks.
Physical Demands
Regular sitting or standing at a computer, walking, using hands and arms, and clear vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth). Occasional lifting up to 35 pounds, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
